Commentary of Hitam_Putih TV Programme : Taufik Hidayat - Ami Gumelar

Taufik Hidayat, an athlete and celebrity in Indonesia even in the international sport at Wednesday, 29 June 2011 decorated TV screen of Indonesia with His wife, Ami Gumelar and the ex President of PBSI (Persatuan Bulutangkis se-Indonesia), Mr. Sutiyoso "bang Yos" with his wife, in the Black And White program in Trans7 guided by Dedy Corbuzier.

After half hour, at third segment of Black And White programme finally Taufik Hidayat and Ami Gumelar joined with "Bang Yos" and His wife and also Dedy Corbuzier.

Bang Yos said that Taufik is an athlete with "The Best Technique in World". He also told about the age problem, In His opinion an athlete with the older age if They play rubber game, they will tired because of stamina factor. But, in this time Taufik still The best in Indonesia.

From other side the age, after Dedi given the choice about the factors of defeat, Taufik chosen the eye and mind as the factors of defeat

In The Black And White programme expressed some secret or habit of Taufik Hidayat. There are :

• When He was lost especially at All England 2000, Taufik cried. Now, after 5 year marry Ami, She said that if Taufik lost, He will be kept quiet and will not reply her question. Therefore, Taufik’s family always give time to keep silence for Him after lost. Answering to above matter, Taufik said that cry and keep silence are natural and they’re must but not for long time because defeat is The delayed victory.

• Taufik Hidayat in every game always uses many necklaces. But, he said that it’s not an, He have become accustomed uses necklace since His mother gave necklace when he was child.

• Taufik Hidayat always brings minimal 10 rackets because if not, He have not self-confident in the game. That matter is also because in his opinion the racket attraction is boisterous hence, so the string will easy to break.

• Taufik Hidayat uses shoes with price tag when he played. Answering to matter leaked by Dedi, Taufik said with smile that He do that in order that The shoes can be sold again after he played… (hehehe)

Now Taufik Hidayat and managemennya are building THArena. And He told, It isn’t as effort to look for the advantage but as Dedication for Badminton, where The profit from THArena is get many athletes  to move forward the Indonesia Badminton later.

When  Dedi asked about his prospects of his children. Taufik said that he oblige his children know about sport and can do that. But, He don’t want his children to become an athlete, although in His small heart, Taufik want his children will become the badminton player as router.

Converse about the children, in the reality Taufik Hidayat is always annoying at home. He is close to children, even at night He and his daughter, Ata love to play “smack down”. And Ami also said that She want her children have "Self-Defend".

In The last segment of Black And White, Taufik And Ami have been consorted their daughter, Natarina Alika Hidayat or Ata and incidentally can represent the abbreviation from “Anak Taufik-Ami”. In this segment expressed that when Taufik playing badminton, Ami always says to Ata that her father is win although Taufik have been left behind far. When Taufik has practice, Ata often follow him. Ata even also the special name of badminton player and it’s "Smash Player".

Also, in the last segmen, there are order from Taufik Hidayat to the government (President, Menpora, KONI, PBSI) to see the future of athlete after pension, because as in Malaysia, LCW will get the monthly salary after pension. While in Indonesia, there is not clarity for athlete after pension.
